Research and Technical Specialist (M/F) in the Computer Graphics Team
A project funded by ...
Job Responsibilities:
- Development of neural rendering models and 3D representations: designing, implementing, and training advanced models based on NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) and 3D Gaussian Splatting architectures, as well as researching and developing feed-forward models dedicated to the rapid generation and processing of three-dimensional scenes and objects;
- Creating 3D simulations and implementing continual learning algorithms: building dynamic 3D simulations of objects using Gaussian Splatting representations and conducting innovative research on the adaptation of continual learning methods (continual learning) to 3D models, enabling their effective updating and incremental learning from new data without catastrophic forgetting;
- Conducting scientific research and application development: carrying out research at the intersection of computer graphics, neural networks, and generative models, with the primary goal of publishing scientific papers at leading international AI/Computer Vision conferences (such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, and ICLR) and, in parallel, prototyping and implementing the developed algorithms in practical application projects carried out by the team.
Required qualifications:
- knowledge in the field of neural rendering and computer vision: an in-depth understanding of modern methods for representing and rendering 3D scenes, with a particular focus on technologies such as NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) and 3D Gaussian Splatting;
- Experience in training neural networks: proven, hands-on ability to design, train, and evaluate deep neural models, including generative models and feed-forward architectures for 3D data;
- Proficiency in AI tools and programming: very good knowledge of Python and advanced proficiency in machine learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch, as well as knowledge of the programming best practices required for research projects;
- knowledge of 3D environments and tools: practical proficiency in using software for creating and editing 3D graphics, such as Blender, and the ability to use these tools to prepare datasets, build simulation environments, and visualize research results.
