IDEAS Research Institute
The IDEAS Research Institute (IDEAS) is a public research and scientific unit operating on the basis of the Act on Research Institutes and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of February 25, 2025.
The Institute's activities are supervised by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense.
Purpose of activity
The goal of IDEAS is to develop and apply advanced technologies - especially artificial intelligence - in key areas of security, defense, economy, and public administration. Through cooperation with national and international partners, IDEAS aims to become one of the leaders in European research on AI and digital innovation.
Business mission
The Institute's mission is to strengthen Poland's technological sovereignty, increase the country's resilience to digital threats, and support the transformation of the economy towards innovation, automation, and digitization. Within a few years, IDEAS is set to become a key link in the national applied research ecosystem and a strategic partner for the administration, industry, and defense sector.
Scope of activities
IDEAS conducts scientific research and development work in the fields of science, nature, technology, and social sciences, with a particular focus on modern technologies and artificial intelligence (AI).
